TNMU Held Olympiad in Pathologic Morphology

On February 15, 2024, the Department of Pathologic Anatomy, Autopsy Course and Forensic Pathology of Ternopil National Medical University organized an Olympiad in Pathologic Morphology for the 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Medicine. The jury included the Head of the Department, Professor P. Selskyi, Professor O. Kuziv, Associate Professor T. Holovata, Associate Professor V. Voloshyn, Associate Professor M. Furdela, Associate Professor A. Mykolenko, Assoc. I. Yuryk, Assistant Professor O. Hladiy, Assistant Professor A. Slyva, Assistant Professor Ya. Yuryk.


28 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Medicine took part in the event. Olympiad participants competed in three nominations. The points were summarised. The first task was doing tests from the “Step-1” question base. After writing the tests, the participants described macropreparations taken from the museum of the department, which were demonstrated using a visualization system.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the best knowledge was demonstrated by students Nazar Koliasa (MM-316) and Yaroslav Bilyk (MM-306), who took first place. The second prize was awarded to Sofia Berehuliak (MM-313), Khrystyna Petrushka (MM-301), Sofia Homonets (MM-306). Veronika Chorna (MM-301), Anastasia Markova (MM-301), Andrii Taras (MM-316), Nadia Stratiuk (MM-316), Tetiana Tylishchak (MM-316) took the third place.


All Olympiad participants who won prizes were awarded diplomas.
