Scientists of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University participated in the XXIII National Congress of Cardiologists of Ukraine, which took place on September 21-24, 2022 in Kyiv. At the biggest Ukrainian event of the year, representatives of the cardiology community from various regions of our country gathered together with foreign and Ukrainian specialists to discuss current cardiology news and find ways to implement the latest achievements of world science into practice, despite global civilizational challenges, such as Russian military aggression and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Four days of intense work of the congress – 198 lecturers, 5,000 participants, current news of cardiology and the latest achievements of world science, presented in four halls with online broadcast, showed that the Ukrainian cardiology community is actively working for the benefit of the health of its compatriots.

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was presented by Professor Larysa Levytska with the report “Optimization of functional recovery of cardiac patients in the conditions of global civilizational challenges”.

Among the numerous medical literature of the “Medknyha” publishing house, presented at the congress, monographs on cardiac rehabilitation, created by Professors of the Department of Emergency Medical Care Mykola I. Shved and Larysa V. Levytska were a pleasant surprise for everyone. They remain relevant for almost ten years and are still in demand among doctors.

“Dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine” – such an inscription on the title page of the program reflected the spirit and the main emotion that passed through the hearts of all participants of the congress of cardiologists of Ukraine, because it was thanks to the heroism of our soldiers that this event was able to take place.

We express our deepest appreciation to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to live and work for the benefit of our country.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Heroes!
