TNMU ranks first in the international ranking “4 International Colleges & Universities”

According to the results of the international ranking “4 International Colleges & Universities”, published in the updated edition in January 2020, Ternopil National Medical University was ranked first among medical universities of Ukraine and first among universities of Ternopil region. In total, TNMU ranked 10th among almost 200 higher education institutions in our country.

The uniRank University Ranking (https://www.4icu.org), known as the 4ICU, positions itself as a non-academic rating that examines the quality of presentation and popularity of higher education institutions on the Internet, based on independent web metrics collected from reputable sources (Moz, Majestic, SimilarWeb and Amazon Alexa). The authors of the ranking note that this approach helps students, teaching and research staff evaluate the overall popularity of the university.

The 4icu website (Four International Colleges & Universities) is a database that organizes information about educational establishments in 200 countries. UniRank ranking (4icu) is determined by the popularity and traffic of websites of 13,600 universities in the world. This ranking has determined the popularity of higher education institutions since May 2005. Since then, the ranking methodology has been periodically refined to provide better results.

The current ranking is calculated using a special formula based on the following webometric data:

Moz Domain Authority (indicates the number and quality of external sitelinks according to Google’s search engine).

Alexa Global Rank (this parameter counts the number of visitors and the number of pages viewed by Alexa).

SimilarWeb Global Rank.

Majestic Referring Domains (indicates the number and quality of external sitelinks according to the Majestic search engine).

Majestic Trust Flow (determines the strength of the links that are posted on the site).
