TNMU representatives participated in the working meeting of the partners of European Union Erasmus+ Program “Innovative Rehabilitation Education – Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine 2018-2021”

On October 21-26, 2019 the working meeting of the partners of European Union Erasmus+ Program “Innovative Rehabilitation Education – Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine 2018-2021” was hosted in Kaunas, Lithuania. Ternopil National Medical University was represented by Associate Professor Tetiana Horpinich and Assistant of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation Yurii Zavidniuk.

At the meeting, preliminary results of the implementation of the curriculum for training Master’s degree students in Physical Therapy in Ukraine according to the European standards were presented.  The ways and methods of further unification of the curriculum were discussed with European and Ukrainian partners.

TNMU representatives demonstrated their typical work plan and elements of the curriculum approved by the TNMU, agreed the directions of their further correction, informed the participants of the meeting about the results of the pilot OSCE implementation for bachelors and masters in Physical Therapy.

The participants of the delegation got acquainted with the organization of physical therapists training at the Lithuanian Sports University, participated in practical classes, lectures and workshops on the problems of rehabilitation of people with disabilities, diabetes, physical status assessment and more.

 

 

 

At the Meeting, the Autumn School was planned to be held in TNMU in September 2020, during which workshops, lectures, trainings for teachers and students will be suggested by representatives of the Project partner universities, which will allow to take over the practical European experience of physical therapists training .
