TNMU Representatives Took Part in the Meeting of the Foundation of the President of Ukraine with Medical Universities

On August 17, a meeting organized by the Foundation of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science and Sports together with the Ministry of Health and Cormack Consultancy group was held. The event for the representatives of Ukrainian medical universities took place in a mixed format. Ternopil National Medical University was represented at the meeting in Kyiv by Vice-Rector for Research Ivan Klishch and Head of Project Management Department Oksana Shevchuk.

With the beginning of a full-scale Russian war in Ukraine, with the active assistance and support of the Union of British Universities, Cormack Consultancy group initiated a large-scale Twinning partner project – a twinning university from the UK for Ukrainian higher education institutions, “Union of Universities”.

Thanks to this initiative, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University became a partner of the Medical School of the University of Manchester and is conducting active negotiations on extensive cooperation in the field of education, teaching and science.

Background information: Manchester Medical School is one of the leading medical schools in the UK with excellent teaching resources and innovative use of technology to enhance student learning. The school offers strong academic support for students and staff, as well as communication and clinical skills training for medical students.

This year, the University of Manchester ranked ninth in the world out of almost 1,600 international institutions from 99 countries in the most prestigious ranking THE impact ranking.

During the meeting, representatives of medical universities shared their experience of cooperation with British universities and urgent problems of higher medical education in Ukraine under the conditions of war.
