TNMU Scientist is a Record Holder of Ukraine

On December 11, 2021, Andriy Pavlyshyn, Head of the Patent Information Department, Associate Professor of the Department of General Surgery of TNMU, became the record holder of Ukraine in the nomination “Science and Technology in Invention”. The scientist has the largest number of patents registered – more than 805.

He began his inventive career in 2005, when he received the first patent for a utility model under the supervision of the famous inventor Valerii Koptiukh. As an inventor, he developed every year:

2008 – the best inventor of Ternopil region,

2009 – winner of the I. Pulyuy Prize,

2019 – an honoured inventor of Ukraine, and

now he is a record holder.

The teachers, researchers of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University have been successfully implementing inventive activities and achieving high results among other educational institutions for over seven years. According to the results of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property” TNMU was the first among Ukrainian universities in inventive affairs in 2020. Diligent daily work and well-established work on the preparation of patent and license documentation for protection of intellectual property and copyright of Andrii Pavlyshyn, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of General Surgery, Head of the Patent Information Department, provided our school with 229 registered patents in 2020.

Andrii Volodymyrovych noted that, in addition to hard work, support and understanding were very important! He thanked all those who inspired him, including the famous inventor Valerii Koptiukh, TNMU staff, Rector Mykhaylo Korda, Vice-Rector for Research Ivan Klishch, Leading Patent Specialist Natalia Handrali, Anatolii Kurylo, Head of the NGO “Scientists Activate the World and Art”, parents, the National Register of Records of Ukraine.
