TNMU scientists received more than 4 million hryvnias for scientific research

Recently, a selection of research and developments for 2020, funded by the state budget, was held among institutions which are under the guidance of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University is proud that seven scientific topics of TNMU scientists have won the competition. In total, they will receive financing of UAH 4 162 230.

The competition was held in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities”, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on September 12, 2018 No. 739 “On Approval of the Procedure for Competitive Selection of Scientific, Scientific-Technical Works Planned at the Expenses of the State Budget”, The Decree of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine oon December 13, 2019 №2453 “On the competitive selection of research and development projects” and the Minutes № 1 of the meeting of the commission on research works on January 31, 2020. The selection was carried out in the form of anonymous peer review of all submitted materials.

This year, the funds have been allocated to the following topics for TNMU scientists:

  • Early diagnosis of cardiovascular and metabolic disorders in school-age children (UAH 224.4 thousand).
  • Mono- and mixed infections transmitted by mites, improvement of medical diagnostic technologies and biosecurity measures (UAH 385.3 thousand).
  • Development of original combinations of antihypertensive agents, their analysis and standardization (UAH 353.6 thousand).
  • Introducing elements of neuro-developmental care for premature infants and their follow-up observation (UAH 515.6 thousand).
  • Pilot study on neonatal screening of primary immunodeficiencies by TRECs and KRECs determination of T- and B-lymphopenia (UAH 1062,9 thousand).
  • Development of specialized medical equipment and treatment and rehabilitation techniques for the provision of telemedicine (remote) assistance to patients with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system (UAH 511.2 thousand).
  • Immunogenetics of malignancy development: influence of expression of the Bc1-2 gene on the state of antitumor immunity and under the conditions of corrective influence of nanomaterials (UAH 1109,23 thousand).
