TNMU scientists took part in the workshop “Implementation of international protocols in pediatric practice”

On September 25, 2019, a training workshop for pediatricians, general practitioners, and pediatric specialists on the implementation of international protocols in pediatric practice, with the participation of leading Ukrainian specialists, was held. Professor Nataliia Banadyha, Head of the Department of Pediatrics of Research Institute of Postgraduate Education represented Ternopil National Medical University.

More than 300 participants took part in the seminar. 12 reports on actual problems of pediatrics, such as the issues of respiratory pathology, functional diseases of the digestive system, iodine deficiency in children were presented.

Professor Nataliia Banadyha focused the attention of the audience on the complex approach to the management of acute respiratory infections in children, taking into account the peculiarities of the child’s body, the difficulty of diagnosis, the need for a well-balanced differential diagnosis.

As part of the event, a seminar with international accreditation for pediatricians (giving the doctor 2 credit units to their personal professional portfolio), dedicated to continuous professional development, the issue of Lyme borreliosis, headache and morphofunctional parallels of the thyroid and brain in children.

The participants of the seminar had a great opportunity not only to hear the opinion of the leading experts, but also to support the scientific discussion, to get acquainted with the world experience of managing common diseases in children. The doctors present at the seminar actively asked lecturers interesting questions, which showed a high interest in the topic of the seminar. The workshop was productive, full of new information, with specific practical applications that need to be implemented today. In the end, the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the high level of the practical workshop.
