TNMU Social Impact Project Made It to the Finals of the National Startup Competition Ukraine

In September 2022, the IV Competition of startup projects “Try it yourself!” was announced for the students of higher educational institutions of Ukraine. A team of representatives of the Faculty of Medicine (TNMU Media Group), Olena Hachkevych, Sofiia Berehuliak, and Marta Struk submitted an application for participation in this competition. The press secretary of TNMU Yanina Chaikivska became the mentor of the students. Almost 40 teams from various higher education institutions of our country took part in the competition.

On the behalf of Ternopil National Medical University, the participants presented the “TNMU Media Hub” project in the social impact category and successfully passed 4 stages of selection. First, one had to present their team in an original way by creating a photo collage. Then, the participants sent a presentation of the project with justification of its relevance, definition of the target audience and a vision for its implementation. The semi-final competition was the presentation and defence of the project. The captain of the team, Sofiia Berehuliak, coped well with this. On October 15, 2022, TNMU representatives received a letter in which the organizers informed about the entry of the “TNMU Media Group” team into the finals. The prize for all efforts will be the training of one of the team’s representatives or mentors in the School’s online course on writing grant projects “TIME OF CHANGE”.

Preparations for participation in the finals are now underway. To do this, one needs to make a project pitch and present it on November 11.

Winning teams and nominees in special categories will be awarded certificates from the British Council-supported Create Creative Entrepreneurs project.
