TNMU Student, in Collaboration with the International Anti-Narcotics Association, Organized a Lecture on the Occasion of World HIV/AIDS Day

Every year on December 1, on World HIV/AIDS Day, the world community reminds us of the dangers of this disease. Since the number of HIV-infected people is increasing every year, there is a constant need to inform the younger generation about this disease, because it has serious and irreversible consequences for human life and health.

On December 1, 2022, TNMU fifth-year student Tetiana Stepaniuk, together with the representative of the International Anti-Narcotics Association (Ternopil) Yaroslav Rafalskyi, organized a thematic lecture for 10th-grade students of Ternopil School №3.

The organizers of the event told the students about HIV infection and AIDS, the danger of this disease, its prevalence in Ukraine and the world, ways of transmission and all possible consequences of the infection. Schoolchildren also received advice on how to protect themselves from infection.

Drug addiction ranks second among the ways of HIV infection, which is why awareness of the spread of the virus by this way is one of the main preventive measures.

The presence of a representative of the International Anti-Narcotics Association was not only interesting for schoolchildren, but also extremely useful, because everyone could ask questions and get a comprehensive answer.
