TNMU Students Collectively Donated Blood

On March 1, 2024, students of Ternopil National Medical University took part in the second collective blood donation aimed at supporting systemic donation in Ukraine.

A total of 27 students joined the initiative at the Ternopil Regional Blood Service Centre. In addition, the Head of TNMU Centre for Educational and Cultural Development, Marta Rudenko, also took part in the event, showing extreme dedication to the cause.

It was a special event, as some of the students became donors for the first time, while others were already regular participants in supporting the donation of blood and its components.

Students of different faculties joined their efforts to achieve the target result.

An important point was that before the donation, the students attended a lecture that took place the day before. This became a key factor in realizing the relevance and importance of their contribution to this noble cause.

During the event, students had the opportunity to learn important information about their blood group and Rh factor, which was marked by great interest and awareness of the participants.

This collective donation became an example of high moral responsibility and unification of TNMU student community for a life-saving cause.

It is extremely gratifying to note the active participation of our students. The event was held under the slogan “Your blood can fight”, emphasizing the importance and relevance of each contribution to increase the blood supply to treat and save the lives of our military.

On the same day, together with the Head of TNMU Centre for Educational and Cultural Development Marta Rudenko, they met with the acting general director of the Ternopil Regional Blood Service Centre, Vasyl Khominets, during which they outlined the directions of future cooperation.
