TNMU Students Gave Lectures on Dangers of Electronic Cigarettes and Tattoos for Ternopil Schoolchildren

In January, students of TNMU Faculty of Medicine, Andrii Svirzhevskyi (MM-320) and Daryna Yuziuk (MM-416) gave 4 lectures on the topics “Consequences of smoking regular and electronic cigarettes” and “All the dangers of tattoos” for the 7th-9th-grade students of Ternopil Secondary School No. 20 and for the 8th-grade students of Ternopil Secondary School No. 23. One of the reasons why such events are extremely important is that it is at this age that children form their own opinion and independent judgments, the ability to critically assess the situation and take responsibility for their actions.

The task of the students was not only to share knowledge on topics relevant to teenagers, but also to convey to schoolchildren in an understandable and accessible form information about the harmfulness of smoking and its consequences for the young body, as well as the dangers of getting tattoos and diseases caused by this process.

Students actively participated in the discussion, asked interesting questions and received answers. As a result, the children thought about their own health and its value in life.
