TNMU students organized the Charity Viennese Ball

A charity ball was held in Ternopil. This year, the event was initiated by I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University students. The organizing committee included Yaryna Stepaniuk, Anastasiia Boiko, Tetiana Stepaniuk, Yuliia Valihura, Yana Chaika, Nataliia and Mariia Kasian.

 

The organizers prepared an interesting program for the participants of the ball. Five dance couples presented the exquisite Viennese waltz to all in attendees. During the month, TNMU students had been preparing this surprise specifically on the occasion of the ball.

  

The guests of the event were able not only to enjoy the masterful dance performance, but also tried to master the Vienneze waltz. A workshop on waltz and tango for everyone was held by Inna Heval and Denis Korostil.

 

A fascinating concert program was prepared for the ball visitors. TNMU students Kobi Kuntu-Blankson, Hubert Mikosha, Kseniia Oliinyk, Kristina Hlushchenkova, Diana Kachan presented interesting performances. Music was provided by the Galician Municipal Chamber Orchestra. The hosts of the event were Nataliia Petrova and Oleh Kryvyi.

An important part of the ball was a fundraising auction. One of the main lots in the auction was tea party with Ternopil Medical University Rector, Professor Mykhaylo Korda. Event organizers say that they wanted to create a festive atmosphere for ball attendees and to help those who really need it. For patients of the Hematology Department of Ternopil City Children’s Hospital, future doctors will donate almost 50 thousand hryvnias.

At the end of the ball, the king (Vasyl Vasylovskyi) and the queen (Anastasiia Domaniuk) were chosen. Vadym Buratynskyi and Valeriia Petrenko became the best couple of the ball.

   

Ternopil Mayor Serhii Nadal also visited this event to support the initiative of students. He presented the activists and sponsors of the ball with the honorary certificates from the City Council.

On behalf of TNMU Rector, Professor Mykhaylo Korda, all participants of the ball were congratulated by TNMU Vice-Rector for Science, Professor Ivan Klishch.

The Organizing Committee of the Viennese Ball expresses their deepest appreciation for the support provided by TNMU Administration, as well as by all those who have made their contributions to help little patients.
