TNMU students organized a holiday at Petrykiv Regional Geriatric Boarding House

This year, TNMU second year students of the specialty “Physical Therapy, ergotherapy” completed an internship at Petrikiv Regional Geriatric Boarding House. The students developed individual rehabilitation programs and implemented them with the residents of the Boarding House with diseases of the nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and musculoskeletal system. At the end of the practical training, students started the tradition of arranging “Holiday of Health” for the residents of the Boarding House, during which they explained how important it is to lead an active lifestyle, outlined the peculiarities of physical activity in old age, drew attention to the need for positive thinking regardless of physical condition, organized a concert, in which both students and residents of the institution took an active part. They sincerely thanked the students for their responsiveness and support.

On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, 3rd year students of the specialty “Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy” followed the tradition and organized a holiday for residents of the Boarding House. On their own initiative, students raised funds among future physical therapists to purchase sweets and fruits and created nice gifts. In the festive attire, students visited the wards of the Boarding House on December 13. Happy eyes, words of appreciation, and a genuine smile from the elderly were a reward for the students. The organizers thanked all the students of the specialty “Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy” and professors Mysula Ihor Romanovych and Zavidniuk Yurii Viktorovych who gladly joined and supported this charitable event.
