TNMU Students Organized Educational Lectures on Bad Habits for Patients of the Children Psychiatric Ward

On January 27, 2022 at the Department of Psychiatry, Addiction and Medical Psychology of Ternopil National Medical University, the 4th-year students, group 402, specialty “Physical Therapy. Occupational Therapy” organized a series of educational lectures on bad habits for patients of the Children Psychiatric Department of Ternopil Regional Psychoneurological Hospital.

The aim of the event was to present to these children such concepts as smoking, alcoholism, drug addiction, Internet addiction and to explain the dangers of it for mental, physical and social well-being.

During the event, the students talked to patients, held discussions and delivered lectures on the following topics: “Smoking addiction”, “Alcohol addiction”, “Drug addiction”, “Gambling”, “Substance Abuse”, “Shopping Addiction” etc. The children were really interested in these topics, asked questions and were active in discussion.

Today the issue of prevention of bad habits among children and education of healthy youth is topical. We are aware that health is the greatest human value, which, unfortunately, many people begin to value and cherish when it is too late. That is why we should start promoting your own health and give up bad habits at an early age.
