TNMU Students Organized Flash Mob on the Occasion of Honouring Taras Shevchenko

Every year on March 9-10, Ukraine honours the memory of the Ukrainian poet of the 19th century, an outstanding figure of the Ukrainian national revival, Taras Shevchenko. He became a symbol of freedom, justice and endurance of every citizen of Ukraine, a symbol of the Ukrainian national movement and insubordination. Shevchenko’s works have been translated into over a hundred languages.

On this significant day of the 209th anniversary of the great Ukrainian genius, Ukrainian and international students of TNMU organized a thematic workshop on drawing a composition on Shevchenko’s theme to create a gallery of creative works and remember Kobzar and his work. TNMU students demonstrated their creativity and love in their paintings, conveying good messages to the Ukrainian people.

In addition, the students organized a flash mob reciting Taras Shevchenko’s poems, which remain relevant even today.

The event was organized by student parliament members Umer Salam Dar and Syed Anas. The purpose of this event was to unite foreign students with Ukrainian students and spread knowledge and love to each other in these difficult times. The participants got to know Ukrainian culture and Taras Shevchenko with great pleasure and excitement. The students did it out of love and support for Ukraine.
