TNMU students participated in the 6th Lublin International Medical Congress

Students of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University participated in the 6th International Medical Congress, which was held on November 28-30, 2019 in Lublin.

At the congress, all the participants presented their research results in the form of short lectures (10 minutes) and poster presentations.

 

TNMU was represented by a 5th year student of the Faculty of Medicine Olena Luts and Lesia Kosinska with the report on “Difficulty of diagnostics of Lyme arthritis in children” (scientific supervisor – PhD in Medicine, Associate Professor Svitlana Oleksiiivna Nykytiuk), psychiatrist-intern Tetiana Ivanitska “Internet–addiction in the social networks projection: psychologiсal peculiarities of users, who consider themselves as bloggers” (scientific supervisor – Doctor of Medicine, Professor Olena Petrivna Wenher), a 3rd year student of the International Students’ Faculty Vaibhav Tripathi with the report on “Analysis of children with pneumonia treatment in a hospital setting” (scientific supervisor – PhD in Medicine, Associate Professor Nataliia Bohdanivna Haliiash), a 3rd year student of the International Students’ Faculty Mohammad Shumayel Khan with the report on “The study of the features of the course of the wound process in patients with diabetic foot syndrome under the influence of negative pressure” (scientific supervisor – PhD in Medicine, Associate Professor Fira Dmytro Bohdanovych) and Wiktoria Siwiec.

 

The scientific part of the conference included the following directions of work:

– Basic sciences and experimental medicine;

– General surgery;

– Psychiatry, psychology and humanities in medicine;

– Cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery;

– Internal Medicine;

– Neurology and neurosurgery;

– Pediatrics and neonatology;

– Orthopedics, physical therapy and rehabilitation;

– Anesthesiology, intensive care and emergency medicine.

As part of the Congress, the following lectures were presented: “Nutrition – Why is it so important for junior doctors?” MD Adam Alzubedi; “The use of autologous cord blood stem cells in child neurology” – dr hab. n. med. Magdalena Chroscinska-Krawczyk. Students had an opportunity to participate in the workshop.

Each participant received a certificate of participation in this event. Overall, the program was very intense. The International Congress has provided valuable experience, exchange of interesting information with colleagues and inspiration for new accomplishments.

Students were extremely satisfied with the participation in the Congress and express their deepest appraciation to the Associate Professors Svitlana Oleksiiivna Nykytiuk, Nataliia Bohdanivna Haliiash, Dmytro Bohdanovych Fira, Professor Olena Petrivna Wenher.
