TNMU students reported on neurological eating disorders

On September 12, 2019, students of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University organized the event “No Anorexia!”. All the organizers (Yulia Valihura, Anastasia Boiko, Yaryna Stepaniuk) are members of public organization UMSA-Ternopil.

Young people were able to deepen their knowledge of neurological eating disorders. From the mini-lectures and presentations prepared by Shumael Zain and Olha Chausch, the participants learned about the etiology, symptoms and treatment of this extremely dangerous disease.

The participants of the event also passed a psychological test, which showed whether they had a tendency to anorexia. The most anticipated and interesting part was the competitive part of the project: 10 volunteers fought for the title of the “Most Sophisticated Sandwich Eater”. It has become an emotional and interesting pastime for students. The winners received pleasant surprises, and all other participants were left with unforgettable impressions and vivid memories. In total, 35 people took part in the event.

The organizers of the action express their gratitude to the TNMU trade union for its support and assistance.
