TNMU Students Told Ternopil Schoolchildren Interesting Facts about Chemistry

On March 13, 2024, first-year students of the Faculty of Medicine Viktoria Mosula and Roman Kovalevych conducted an informative and useful class for the 7th-grade students of the 7th grade of Ternopil Academic Lyceum “Ivan Franko Ukrainian Gymnasium” on the topic “Interesting Chemistry”.

The students discussed with the schoolchildren the safety rules in the chemistry classroom and demonstrated a number of interesting chemical reactions, such as “volcanic eruption”, “traffic light”, “pharaoh’s snakes” and others. Students were extremely interested in the reaction of boroethyl ether formation, which burns with a green flame. Children took an active part in writing “spy letters”, the text of which was revealed when the paper was dried over a candle flame.

The purpose of the event was to interest children in studying chemistry.

It is planned to perform lessons in other classes of the Lyceum.

The information was provided by Victoria Mosula.
