TNMU Teachers Participated in the Conference in Canada

The Director of the Academic and Research Institute of Nursing, Associate Professor Svitlana Danchak and her deputy, Associate Professor Liudmyla Mazur, together with the teachers of MacEwan University (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) took part in the conference “Planetary Health: Protecting and Sustaining the Well-Being of Our Ecosystems”.

The conference was held on March 22-23, 2024 at Trinity Western University (Langley, Canada).

A team of scientists from MacEwan University and TNMU presented a report at the conference “Spanning Borders – Building Relationships – an Online Field Study Approach to Planetary Health”. The report highlighted one of the areas of cooperation between the universities – the holding of joint training courses “Global Health”, which were held on the basis of the Institute of Nursing of our university in 2018 and 2019, as well as in an online format in 2020-2023. Students and teachers of both partner universities took part in the training courses, and in 2023, employees and students of the University of Ghana joined the project.

Cooperation between TNMU and MacEwan University has been ongoing since 2014 and includes various areas of educational and scientific direction. The internship of Svitlana Danchak and Liudmyla Mazur at MacEwan University from October 27 to November 14, 2023, with the support and assistance of the Head of the Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre of MacEwan University, Larysa Hayduk, became an active impetus for expanding the range of joint projects.
