TNMU Volunteer Centre Received Another Humanitarian Aid from the Ukrainian Union of Lower Saxony

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the Volunteer Centre of Ternopil National Medical University has been receiving active support and assistance both in word and deed from the Ukrainian Union of Lower Saxony, which was founded in Hanover in 2015.

Among the latest arrivals are 50 Israeli bandages, which will be sent to the front line as part of individual first-aid kits, which are formed by volunteers of our university and fully meet NATO standards.

Since March 2022, TNMU Volunteer Centre has already received several humanitarian shipments of medicines, medical supplies, and tactical backpacks. All of them were taken to military hospitals to provide emergency, primary and specialized medical care to military personnel and civilians in Ukraine.

The main tasks of the Ukrainian Union of Lower Saxony include:

  • Support and development of the Ukrainian language among children of Ukrainian origin
  • Presentation of Ukrainian culture and traditions at public events
  • Cooperation with other organizations, unions and associations
  • Organization of humanitarian aid to Ukraine
  • Informational support for immigrants from Ukraine
  • Consultations on issues of integration into German society

We express our heartfelt appreciation to our supporters!
