TNMU Volunteer Centre Received Humanitarian Aid from Italy

Recently, Svitlana Duda and Gruppo Farmacie IGEA SRL (Rome, Italy) donated medical supplies to the Volunteer Centre of Ternopil National Medical University. Logistics was handled by Victoria Furdela, Associate Professor of the Department of Paediatrics No. 2, who has been cooperating with Italian supporters for a long time.

We would like to remind that since the beginning of the war, Svitlana Duda from Italy, who is a native of the Ternopil region, together with the volunteer centre DeeBee Italia and Gruppo Farmacie IGEA SRL, handed over 300 kg of medical supplies for patients with diabetes (insulins, glucometers, test strips, insulin pens and needles, lancets, etc.), as well as dressing materials, tourniquets, antibiotics, painkillers, levothyroxine, emergency medicines, thermal blankets and other medical supplies.

“This woman helped us even before the war, and with the beginning of the full-scale invasion she organized the community of Rome. Every week she sent us several boxes of medicines and medical supplies. The parcels contained everything needed not only for diabetes patients, but also tourniquets, dressing materials, thermal blankets,” said Victoria Furdela.
