TSMU Congratulated Their Colleagues at Ternopil Regional Children’s Hospital on the Occasion of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit Establishment
The Vice-Rector for Science, Education and Clinical Affairs of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Stepan Zaporozhan on behalf of the Rector of TSMU Professor Mykhailo Korda congratulated medical staff of Ternopil Regional Children’s Hospital on the occasion of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit establishment. It was a very important event for the hospital and the region, because the department has been reconstructed for a long time. This unit admits for treatment newborns of the whole Ternopil region. For the unit reconstruction more than 3.5 million hryvnias was funded by regional budget and a half a million by philanthropists.
The Vice-Rector for Science, Education and Clinical Affairs of TSMU Professor Stepan Zaporozhan in his opening address emphasized that the main task of neonatology is to save life and health of children during neonatal period, and children’s health is one of the most urgent social matters in Ukraine.
He also wished professional inspiration, strong health and love to the unit staff.
