TSMU department installed new teaching equipment

Department of Anatomy of Ternopil State Medical University recently installed two new interactive sensory screens for studying the human anatomy. Head of the department, professor Ilia Herasymiuk says that equipment like this can significantly improve understanding of basic anatomy by the doctors-in-training.

“In essence, these are computers with large monitors, which allow exploring 3-D images of human organs, bones, tissues, etc. This helps students to visualize human anatomical structures during the learning process. Most of the depicted objects are movable and can be viewed from different positions “, said Dr. Herasymiuk.

He added that such interactive sensor screens are a necessity for the study of human anatomy.
