TSMU Joined the European University Association

Ternopil State Medical University is one of the leading medical universities of Ukraine. Recently, the achievements of TSMU staff were highly rated within European universities and TSMU has become a member of the European University Association.

EUA’s mission is to promote the development of a coherent system of European higher education and research, providing strong support to its members as autonomous institutions in the improvement of quality learning, teaching and research. EUA studies the results of discussions held at high European level which influence the work of national university associations as well as its individual members. The Association is very important for expansion of European higher education and research.

The priorities for the association members are listed in annual plan of the organization and in the Prague Declaration developed and adopted by universities EUA members in 2009.

These priorities include:

• expansion of European higher education within a framework of the Bologna Process;
• research and innovation;
• internationalization of Higher Education and Research;
• improvement the quality of European universities;
• appropriate management, autonomy and regular funding.
