TSMU students held a meeting of the European Medical Students’ Association

On February 24, 2017 Ternopil State Medical University students members of European Medical Students’ Association met to discuss digestive disorders.

EMSA, a non-profit group,  is implementing projects and activities in the areas of medical education, medicine, medical ethics and culture, European integration, and healthcare. Members of the European Medical Students’ Association often represent our university at conferences in Ukraine and abroad.

This time EMSA members prepared a number of reports on topics related to digestive disorders, and invited Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine Nataliia Bilkevych  to demonstrate how to examine the digestive system.

After the detailed presentation by TSMU professor, students could practice performing exam on their own.

“I find it great that members of this organization take initiative and want to learn more than they hear in class. In addition, developing practical skills is always important. Every time I am invited to their meetings, I prepare a particularly thorough presentation, find latest studies, and emphasize practical aspects “- shared her impressions experiences Dr. Bilkevych.

Members of European Medical Students’ Association have scheduled several other events for this month, including attending a show of films on health issues on March 10 at the Cinema Palace.
