TSMU students participated in a scientific conference in Krakow

Students of Ternopil State Medical University took part in the International Medical Students’ Conference, which took place on April 19-21, 2018 in Krakow.

Attending the forum were five TSMU students.  Fourth year student of the Faculty of Medicine Liubov Stasyshyn presented her work Neurological Manifestations of Lyme Disease (research supervisor professor S.I. Shkrobot). Fifth year student of the Faculty of Medicine Bohdan Korilchuk gave a presentation on Risk and Complication Factors of Ischemic Heart Disease (research supervisor  Dr. N. Korilchuk), while another fifth year student of the Faculty of Medicine Ihor Stetsiuk presented his research titled Main Aspects of the Treatment of Fractures of the Proximal Femur. Improvement of the Treatment of Subcapital Fractures (research supervisor Dr. I.R. Kopichak). Finally, fifth year student of the Faculty of Medicine Tetiana Ivanytska spoke on Musical Priorities as Markers of Anxiety. The Influence of Music Therapy on the Treatment of Anxiety Disorder in Patients with Neurotic Disorders (research supervisor Professor O.P. Venger). Arkadyusz Lysniak-Muchuk form the International Students’ Faculty also was among the participants.

Liubov Stasyshyn was awarded the third place for the presentation of her research. Ihor Stetsiuk won a best poster award.

Representatives of the TSMU also had the opportunity to participate in a workshop in neurosurgery.
