It is worth paying attention to WHO statistical data on the spread of brain pathology, and the issues of neurodegenerative disorders prevention. Everyone should remember this, especially since it is easy to organize. Our brain consists of more than a million nerve cells. They are constantly in contact with each other using electrical signals. Strengthening these connections and creating new chains leads to the formation of new abilities and skills. This process is called neurogenesis. The growth of new brain cells is important for our mental health and cognitive flexibility and can be fostered by incorporating certain behaviours or activities into our daily lives.

Sofiia Tysh presented a report on the topic “Prevention of cognitive disorders”.

Oleh Kuziv conducted an interactive workshop “Exercises that improve brain function”.

The brain needs to be constantly developed and taken care of by following a healthy lifestyle, avoiding bad habits, doing physical exercises, walking in the fresh air, healthy sleep and rest, and a balanced diet. According to the recommendations of specialists of the public health centre of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, to improve mental ability, you need to consume such products as fatty sea fish, cocoa, ginseng, broccoli, apples, lentils, and bread made from coarsely whole wheat flour. For effective brain training, it is recommended to go beyond the performance of monotonous tasks, learn foreign languages and play musical instruments, read, dance. Travel and new communication can be useful, too.

Take care of your brain and your mental health! After all, this guarantees a happy life and longevity!
