Wroclaw Medical University Delegation Visited TSMU

Recently, the coordinator of joint cooperation of I.Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University and Wroclaw Medical University Honorary Professor of TSMU Dr. Wojciech Barg, the Head of the Department of Pediatrics No 3, the Member of Committee on Immunology and Human Infectious Diseases Etiology of Polish Academy of Sciences Alexandra Lewandovich-Ushinska, the leaders of Erasmus program Tomas Pyetrashkyewich and Slawa Ksenych visited TSMU. Ternopil Medical University has already been cooperating with Wroclaw Medical University for a long time.

At first, the guests from Poland met with the Rector of TSMU Professor Mykhailo Korda. They discussed further cooperation between these two universities. Ternopil Medical University and Wroclaw Medical University are working jointly in the project Horizon 2020 – Polonez-2 on the implementation of joint research in pediatrics, such as childhood immunology.

During the last several years the best students of TSMU studied at Wroclaw Medical University for a semester or two due to the program of academic mobility. Also, our young people have the opportunity to train at clinics of the Polish university. Dr. Wojciech Barg confirmed that this program will carry on, so they will admit the TSMU students during the next few years.

The Colleagues from Poland offered the Rector of I.Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhailo Korda the cooperation in a grant due to the Erasmus Plus programme.

The representatives of Wroclaw Medical University met with students of TSMU who won the competition for studying and training in this university. Young people were interested in educational process, job training, healthcare in Poland.
