TNMU will Set up an Application Center for International Students to Apply for Turkish Airlines Flights

On September 21, 2021, Professor Mykhaylo Korda, Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, met with Zafer Agirtmis, Director of Turkish Airlines in Lviv, Alı Serdar Terlemez, Sales Manager, Taras Starak, Marketing Representative, Yurii Kotyk, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Indian Friendship Society, and Valerii Kichuk, Director of Kiy Avia in Ternopil. During the meeting, they discussed improvement of airline services for international students of TNMU.

Turkish Airlines is a long-term partner of TNMU and helps foreign students and teachers of our university to develop the best flight plans with high-quality services.

Due to the large number of Indian citizens studying at Ternopil Medical University, the representatives of the company offered to join this year’s celebration of Diwali – one of the largest holidays in this country. Turkish Airlines will give students the opportunity to take part in a competition, the winner will receive a free ticket to fly to their country. Yurii Kotyk, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Indian Friendship Society, also joines the organization of events related to the promotion of Indian and Ukrainian cultures.

Professor Mykhaylo Korda, TNMU Rector, noted that international students want to change the date or route of the flight very often. To resolve this, they have to go to Lviv, which requires time and financial costs. Mykhaylo Mykhailovych suggested to make a centre for submission of applications at the International Students Faculty of our university. A representative of the Dean’s Office will accept the requests from the students and send them to Turkish Airlines in Lviv or to Kiy Avia in Ternopil, and students will be able to resolve all these issues online or by phone. This will save a lot of time and money. The director of Kiy Avia office in Ternopil, Valerii Kichuk, liked this idea and assured his support regarding this process.

Ternopil National Medical University expresses gratitude to Valeriy Kichuk, Director of the Kiy Avia office in Ternopil and the representative of Turkish Airlines office in Lviv for long-term cooperation and assistance in drawing up flight routes. To improve the services for Ternopil Medical University employees (and their close relatives) who plan business and personal international air travel, there is a corporate agreement between TNMU and Turkish Airlines.

Please find the terms and conditions for booking and purchasing tickets for TNMU employees in the offices of KIY AVIA in Ternopil. Turkish Airlines constantly offers special discounts on tickets for students and young people to travel to various international destinations (contact phone number: +38 068 195 07 07).
