TNMU Expresses Appreciation to Our Constant Partner Timo Ulrichs

The team of Ternopil National Medical University expresses its sincere appreciation to its permanent and long-standing partner in science, education and international cooperation, Professor Timo Ulrichs (Akkon University, Berlin, Germany – https://www.akkon-hochschule.de), who since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia to Ukraine actively supports Ukrainians. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to the community of the Protestant Parish of Berlin-Kaulsdorf (Evangelische Kirchengemeinde Berlin-Kaulsdorf (Germany)- https://www.kirche-kaulsdorf.de/) for their support and desire to help us in this extremely difficult time for Ukraine.

Professor Timo Ulrichs and the community of the Protestant Parish of Berlin-Kaulsdorf handed over hypotensive, anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving drugs and medical supplies for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This week, the military hospital in Lviv also received important help from the aforementioned benefactors in the form of a shipment of medicines and medical supplies.

Since October 2022, the Akkon University of Human Sciences and its Institute for Research in International Assistance (IRIA) are implementing the project “Promoting health care in Ukraine under wartime conditions: Training, medical education and professional exchange via podcasts as well as on site” to support medical professionals in Ukraine. As part of this partnership, IRIA organized a training program for Ukrainian students of Ternopil National Medical University in Berlin. Thanks to this, two groups of students were able to undergo practical training and internship in Germany. On the initiative and with the participation of Timo Ulrichs, many joint scientific conferences, webinars, and symposia were held at TNMU. He sincerely shared his experience and knowledge with the participants of International Student Summer Schools. Also, Timo Ulrichs repeatedly gave lectures for students of Ternopil Medical University.

We appreciate our many years of cooperation and partnership, as well as constant support in difficult times for Ukraine.

TNMU Press Secretary, Yanina Chaikivska.
