TNMU Opened a Separate Structural Unit (Representative Office) in London (UK)

On May 6, 2025, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University officially opened its separate structural unit (representative office) in London, United Kingdom.

In the context of martial law, when a significant number of Ukrainian citizens have been forced to stay abroad, ensuring uninterrupted access to quality higher education is an extremely important. The opening of TNMU’s structural unit in London marks a major step toward this goal. It enables the university to provide education not only to Ukrainian citizens who are unable to return home due to the Russian Federation’s military aggression, but also to international students interested in studying at Ukrainian institutions of higher education. Moreover, the establishment of this branch will enhance the image of Ukrainian medical education, foster international cooperation and integration of the Ukrainian academic community into the global educational space, strengthen partnerships with leading European educational institutions, and help preserve national identity and cultural connection with Ukraine for students studying abroad — a matter of particular importance in the context of globalization.

This project was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the International Institute of Women’s Folk Diplomacy of Ukraine in Belgium.

The opening ceremony was attended by delegations from Ukraine, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, as well as representatives from banking and business institutions in London, government agencies, civil society organizations, legal corporations, and the University of Cambridge.
