Another Meeting of the All-Ukrainian Educational Marathon at TNMU Marked Five Years of Uniting the Medical Elite
On April 30, 2026, Ternopil National Medical University hosted another meeting within the framework of the All-Ukrainian project “Student to Student,” which has been bringing together the country’s future medical elite for five consecutive years. Founded in 2021 on the initiative of the administration of Kharkiv National Medical University and Professor Iryna Knyazkova, this initiative has evolved into a weekly knowledge marathon where students teach one another, and participants and audiences from higher medical education institutions across Ukraine can join the project.

The project’s geography continues to expand—from Kyiv and Kharkiv to Poltava, Vinnytsia, Uzhhorod, and Ternopil. This time, students of Ternopil National Medical University took on the role of keynote speakers, demonstrating that modern medical education is not limited to textbooks but is primarily about the dynamic exchange of experience and analysis of current educational and scientific challenges.
Opening the event, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Kharkiv National Medical University, Professor Nataliia Savelieva, and Vice-Rector for Science and Education of Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Arkadii Shulhai, emphasized the uniqueness of this format. They noted that independent preparation of lectures enables students to gain deeper insight into the latest achievements in clinical medicine and to develop the ability to present complex clinical cases at a professional level.
The professional atmosphere of the event was ensured by the moderator, Professor Nadiia Yarema. She highlighted that the high level of student preparation is the result of their genuine commitment to understanding the nuances of international and national clinical guidelines and protocols. According to her, the ability of future physicians to analyze up-to-date patient management recommendations makes such meetings not only educational but also practically valuable for the entire medical community.
The central topic of discussion was heart failure. Fifth-year medical students at Ternopil National Medical University presented a comprehensive strategy to address this condition. Solomiia Faka delivered a presentation titled “Current Approaches to the Diagnosis of Heart Failure.” Nadiia Stratiuk presented “Modern Therapy of Heart Failure: From Clinical Guidelines to Real Practice,” while Sofiia Berehuliak focused on “The State of Use of Recommended Pharmacological Therapy in Heart Failure.”
Concluding the event, the organizers noted the students’ high level of knowledge, thorough preparation, and confident presentation skills. For those wishing to deepen their knowledge or who were unable to attend the online broadcast, all presentations have been archived and made publicly available. The project’s video materials are available on the YouTube channel of Kharkiv National Medical University, allowing anyone to join this scientific community at any time.
