Symposium on New Advances in Helicobacter Pylori Treatment and Diagnosis

The Ukrainian-Chinese Centre for the Development of Education and Culture on behalf of Lanzhou University Hospital № 2 invites teachers to participate in the symposium on “Diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori”, which will be held online on October 28-29. The symposium will be held in 2 languages ​​- Chinese and English.

The global infection rate of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) is approaching 50%, and in economically underdeveloped areas this indicator is even higher. This bacterial infection is closely related to stomach cancer, peptic ulcers, chronic gastritis and many other diseases of the digestive system. The search for cost-effective and accurate detection methods and effective treatment methods has always been a focus and an important topic of academic research. The purpose of this project is to promote in-depth communication between China and the countries and regions of the Great Silk Road Economic Belt on new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori under the guidance of the national initiative “One Belt, One Road” to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori in countries and participating regions and promoting the Great Silk Road economic belt.

Lanzhou University Hospital № 2 is a large and multidisciplinary third level hospital with significant medical, research and technical facilities in Gansu Province. Relying on the relevant platform of the hospital, Professor Zhang Dekui together with his team, has been engaged in basic and clinical research on Helicobacter pylori for many years and has completed a total of about 10 related research projects, published articles on SCI and in China related to Helicobacter pylori. So, he laid a certain foundation in the field of diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori.
