TSMU students participated in 68th congress of the association of Polish surgeons in Krakow

On 27-30 September 68th Congress of the Association of Polish Surgeons took place in ICE Krakow Congress Centre in Poland with Prof Paweł Lampe as Chair of the Scientific Committee and Prof Piotr Richter as Chair of the Organising Committee. Representatives of Polish Association’s Election at Ternopil State Medical University

On 11 October 2017 the election of representatives took place at TSMU. Polish students were voting for 3 functions: the president of Polish Students’ Association (general medicine), Vice-president, as well as the president of the Faculty of Dentistry. TSMU students gifted medical equipment to a training and rehabilitation center

Ternopil State Medical University students enthusiastically participate in charity actions, helping those in need of support and attention. Associate professor of the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies Taras Kabodnyi together with Ukrainian and international students have organized a university-wide volunteer movement MISERICORDIA. Its Latin name can be translated as a kind or compassionate heart. Ukrainian-Indian Conversation School began its work at TSMU

Week at TSMU Library. The main goal of this public initiative is to allow Ukrainian students and residents of Ternopil to learn Hindi directly from the speakers of this language, Indian students. Both Hindi and Ukrainian belong to the same group of languages, and stem from a common ancestral language, Proto-Indo-European. Even now, millennia after these daughter languages branched off, Ukrainian and Hindi have many words that sound alike. Ternopil State Medical University student participated in Antwerp Medical Students’ Congress

From the 13th to 17th of September 2017, EMSA (European Medical Students’ Association) organized the 11th Antwerp Medical Students’ Congress “Under Pressure”. On the 13th and 14th of September biomedical students from all over the world presented their research to their peers. TSMU international students visited orphaned children

To mark Independence Day of Ukraine, international students of Ternopil State Medical University organized a charity event. The students have prepared gifts for orphaned children and children from low-income families placed in a care facility and on August 24 they paid children an informal visit to share celebration of Ukraine’s Independence Day. International students showcased their talents

Recently the assembly hall of Ternopil State Medical University became a stage for the culture and music event “A Man begins with kindness”. The revue was organized by teachers and students of Preparation Department of the International Student’s Faculty. International students joined a charity drive

Over 10 thousand hryvnas collected Polish students of Ternopil State Medical University. The money are earmarked for the treatment of 5 year-old Marichka Hvozdyska diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Dentistry students from Poland decided to help by collecting charity pledges form other students and Polish diaspora. University administration expresses its sincere gratitude to students Przemysław Żanko, Dajana Murmyło, Michał Lenartowicz, Karol Świątek, Jakub Janczarski, and Estera Błaszczyk for their efforts. TSMU Students brought fun activities to children’s summer camp

International students of Ternopil State Medical University visited the Rainbow children’s summer camp. The camp invites children whose parents serve in the ATO area and it has been organized for the second year in a row, by the Ternopil Center for Psychological Rehabilitation “Step Toward”. In the camp, children can take part in various master classes, go on trips, and meet interesting people. Ternopil State Medical University students organized events for the World No Tobacco Day

Each year TSMU students organize and participate in events dedicated to tobacco control. On May 31 of this year our students together with representatives of the regional Health Center and Red Cross Society volunteer corps (many of whom are also TSMU students) gathered together by Ivan Franko monument  in Ternopil to urge passersby to quit the harmful habit of smoking. Ternopil State Medical University students from Namibia talked about their country on air

International students of Ternopil State Medical University gave yet another virtual tour of their country for a local television station. This time, visiting TTB studios were students from Namibia. Our students Shipopyeni Joleni Ndapandula and  Shikulo Panduleni Twahafifwa not only talked about their homeland, but also sang traditional songs, and showcased the national dress. Ternopil State Medical University Sports Fest 2017 has its first winners

Association of Indian students of Ternopil State Medical University has introduced initiated a sports and  friendship festival, which aims to strengthen the friendly relations between Ukrainian youth and students from other countries studying in Ternopil. Event’s program include 100 and 400 meters race, relay races and team sports – football, volleyball, badminton, and cricket. Team of TSMU international students placed third in inter-university Futsal tournament

On 20-24 March 2017 Ternopil State Medical University  hosted a Futsal tournament among University students. Nine student teams participated in the tournament, including representatives of Ternopil National Pedagogical University (2 teams), Ternopil National Economic University (2 teams), Berezhansk Agricultural University, Kremenets Teachers College, Ternopil National Technical University and I Ternopil State medical University (2 teams). TSMU Students from India celebrated Holi, the festival of colors

Holi, or the festival of colors is a popular Hindu celebration in India. It is also celebrated in Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and other countries with the Indian diaspora. Holi celebrations survived from the ancient times to our days in their original form. Recent studies suggest that Holi Festival has a history going back for two thousand years. Ternopil State Medical University students organized a screening of films on medical topics

On March 10 TSMU students -members of Ternopil branch of the European Medical Students Association, at organized a Movie Fest, which took place at Palace Cinema. The screening was open to anyone interested in watching movies on medical topics.   According to the head of the Ternopil EMSA branch Parth Sabya Sachi, the main purpose of the event was to renew the interest of students in medicine and encourage them to reflect on the importance of the chosen profession.
