Ternopil State Medical University students from India organized a celebration for military personnel

Since previous year Ternopil  city library has been implementing a rehabilitation project for police and military personnel using book and art therapy. Project manager, librarian Nadia Kachurovska said that these events are aimed to contribute to socialization the military, and expand their social circle. Students of TSMU Preparation Department celebrated International Mother Language Day

Some events, such as International Mother Language Day, observed annually on 21 February, can unite people across the world. To observe this occasion, instructor of the preparation department for international students Larysa Nalizhyta held an open ethnography class. TSMU students from Morocco talked about their country on air

More than 1,500 international students nearly 60 countries study at Ternopil State Medical University. They are ambassadors of diverse and fascinating cultures, each possessing distinctive customs and traditions. Recently a TV station TTB invited young people from Morocco to speak about their country on the morning show. They also shared their impressions of Ukraine. Video of this broadcast is below.

TSMU Indian students talked about their country with a local TV channel

Last week students of Ternopil State Medical University took part in the program “Morning with TTB”. They talked about customs, culture and features of their country. Parth Sabya Sachi, Priyanka Tyagi, Pramvir Rathee and Varsha Kashyap shared with Ternopil audience their impressions of India, told how Indians celebrate their national holidays, and how the students keep their traditions while studying at Ternopil State Medical University. Meeting of European Medical Students’ Association

On the eve of World Cancer Day, observed on February 4th , international students of Ternopil State Medical University and members of European Medical Students’ Association organized a scientific meeting of their group. TSMU Nigerian Students’ Association has elected a new president

Nigerian Students’ Association in Ternopil State Medical University has elected its first ever female president, a fifth year student Ahuruonye Sharon Ogechi . She received 70% of votes. Sharon’s opponent for this office was TSMU student Aganren Daniel Omegban. Notably, Nigerian student community is one of the largest groups of international students of Ternopil Medical University. Ternopil State Medical University international students celebrated Christmas with Ternopil residents

Christmas celebrations took place 25-27 December at the Theater Square , location of the main tree of the city. During this joyful event followers of Roman Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox churches joined the celebrations as part of the national action “Ukraine and the world celebrate Christmas together.” This was a family event, which also attracted many young people. TSMU international students took part in St. Andrew’s Day festivities

Winter time in Ukrainian culture is full of exciting folk festivals and traditions. One of the most interesting saint’s feasts is dedicated to St. Andrew, the patron saint of Ukraine. Traditionally, on St. Andrew’s Eve the youth got together to celebrate in a number of ways. Boys played pranks, while girls performed magic rituals to divine names of their future husbands. Egyptian Students Association of TSMU has new president

Recently, Egyptian Students Association of Ternopil State Medical University has elected its president. Of 56 students from this country casting their votes, 21 voted for Ahmed Salem Mohamed Abdelgawwad. Other candidates, Ahmed Nabil and Amr Zakaria received 20 and 17 votes respectively. Thus, Ahmed Salem Mohamed Abdelgawwad was declared winner of the election. TSMU international students shared the warmth of their hearts with orphaned children

Ternopil State Medical University international students don’t miss opportunities for doing good deeds. On 6 December members of Ternopil branch of European Medical Students Association together with their mentors, Associate Professors of the Pediatrics Department Natalia Haliiash and Svitlana Nikytiuk visited Ternopil regional Children’s Home Maliatko with a charity program “Teddy Bear”. The event aimed to instill in children a positive attitude towards doctors. Meeting of Ternopil branch of European Medical Students Association took place at TSMU

Ternopil State Medical University students, members of Ternopil branch of the European Medical Students Association on 2 December held a thematic meeting. Association of Ghanaian students of Ternopil State Medical University held a beauty pageant Miss Ghana, first such event in Ukraine. It took place in Ternopil’s Peremoga Ukrainian House. Our students wanted to use this event to bring together their compatriots from different Universities across Ukraine. Association of Indian students in Ternopil State Medical University elected new chairman

On 18 November students from India studying at Ternopil State Medical University voted for a new chairman of the Association of Indian students. Arshbeer Sandhu, a third year student, was elected for this office. During presentation of his program Arshbeer said that he would do everything to bring students together even more. He added that it is important to take care of each representative of the Indian Brotherhood, help them in solving their problems.
