TSMU students gifted medical equipment to a training and rehabilitation center

Ternopil State Medical University students enthusiastically participate in charity actions, helping those in need of support and attention. Each year on October 1 world community observes the International Day for Older Persons. The modern ambulance presented to TSMU by the German partners will be used in student training

The directorate of the charity fund “Humanitarian aid in Bielefeld” presented Ternopil State Medical University on the occasion of its 60th anniversary with an ambulance vehicle fitted with modern equipment. In its 24 years of cooperation with Ukrainian public organizations and medical institutions the German fund has delivered 45 ambulance vehicles to our country. Now TSMU has its own specialized vehicle, which will be used in the study process to improve skills of doctors-in-training. TSMU international students visited orphaned children

To mark Independence Day of Ukraine, international students of Ternopil State Medical University organized a charity event. The students have prepared gifts for orphaned children and children from low-income families placed in a care facility and on August 24 they paid children an informal visit to share celebration of Ukraine’s Independence Day. TSMU staff delivered yet another humanitarian shipment form Canada to military hospitals

Former TSMU employees Bohdan Boichuk and Nadiia Arkhipova continue providing humanitarian medical assistance to Ukrainian hospitals. Today they live and work in Canada, but always keep in their thoughts those in need in their homeland. The most recent shipment of humanitarian aid they have sent contained medical supplies and was designated to the Lviv Military Hospital to cover the needs of its surgical and rehabilitation departments, as well as to the military unit A4615 hospital in Dnipro. Professors and students of TSMU joined a humanitarian project

Throughout 2017 TSMU and the social center Caritas have been working together on humanitarian projects. International students joined a charity drive

Over 10 thousand hryvnas collected Polish students of Ternopil State Medical University. The money are earmarked for the treatment of 5 year-old Marichka Hvozdyska diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Dentistry students from Poland decided to help by collecting charity pledges form other students and Polish diaspora. University administration expresses its sincere gratitude to students Przemysław Żanko, Dajana Murmyło, Michał Lenartowicz, Karol Świątek, Jakub Janczarski, and Estera Błaszczyk for their efforts. TSMU Dentistry Clinic opened its doors

University Hospital Dental Clinic located on 7 Chekhova opened its doors on April 5. This clinic will serve the residents of our city and region, providing services such as free dental diagnosis and patients consults by TSMU professors and other specialists in therapeutic, pediatric, orthopedic and surgical dentistry. Ternopil State Medical University students organized a public awareness campaign for World Tuberculosis Day

On March 24, 2017 on the occasion of World TB Day, students of Ternopil State Medical University organized a number of events to call attention to this problem. The doctors in training joined forces with the members of Red Cross Society volunteer squad. TSMU Choir continues its charitable work

We previously wrote that Ternopil State Medical University choir donated to several items Ternopil hospice, including 3 bedside toilets and 10 sets of bed linen. On Monday 13 March, representatives of the choir completed the second part of charitable giving  to medical facilities. Charity work in Ternopil State Medical University has deep roots. Members of a local history group Terpoliany, Ukrainian and international students alike, have been taking part in charitable activities for quite some time. Since previous year Ternopil  city library has been implementing a rehabilitation project for police and military personnel using book and art therapy. Project manager, librarian Nadia Kachurovska said that these events are aimed to contribute to socialization the military, and expand their social circle. During the Christmas holidays, Ternopil State Medical University choir kept busy schedule performing carols in various venues. Its members collected a considerable amount of donations, more than 20 thousand hryvnas. All of the money the choristers decided to direct to charity. Outreach work of TSMU students

Recently, students Ternopil State Medical University who volunteer for the Red Cross, collaboration with the Youth Committee of Ternopil-Zboriv Archdiocese organized in Ternopil regional perinatal center “Mother and Child” a social event dedicated to the World Day of the patient. Young people aimed to give moral support to pregnant women on bed rest. TSMU choir preformed traditional Ukrainian carols for students and staff

For the second year in a row Ternopil State Medical University choir wished everyone happy New Year and Merry Christmas performing a concert of traditional carols. The choir includes lecturers and students, who rehearse for months leading to the winter holidays, and then visit TSMU and other organizations to sing and collect donations for charitable causes. TSMU students brought holiday gifts for the charges of Maliatko children’s home

On the occasion of St. Nicholas’s Day fourth year students of Ternopil State Medical University, along with their supervisor, assistant professor of pharmacology Iryna Moseychuk, visited regional children’s home Maliatko, to share holiday spirit with the kids. The future doctors showed a theater performance in which the main character was St. Nicholas. Children happily greeted their guests and reciprocated with recitations of nursery rhymes and songs. For several years now Ternopil State Medical University students have been helping families in need on St. Nicholas’ day.
